He had a fairly successful weekend, beginning with a commendable fourth-place finish at the start. The races featured numerous battles and minor tire issues, leading to a best result of fifth place across three races
Serbia will feature two talented drivers in the Italian Formula 4 this season, recognized as the top series of its kind in the world. Andrej Petrović, now of legal age, has already claimed the runner-up title in the F4 championship of Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, sixteen-year-old Andrija Kostić participated in the opening round of the CEZ F4 season in Hungary for the Jencer Motorsport team, aiming to prepare for the start of the Italian season in Milan.

Although he didn't fully integrate with the Jencer team, Kostić achieved the fourth fastest time among 14 drivers in qualifying. During the chaotic start of the first race, he dropped to eighth place after contact with teammate Simon Zhang. He quickly passed Romanian driver Sava and Czech driver Mikeš to reach fourth, but Russian Kiril Kuckov held him off. A 10-second penalty for exceeding track limits resulted in a sixth-place finish, officially counted as fifth since the winner, Swiss driver Itan Ischer, was ineligible for points.
In Sunday’s race, Kostić started sixth and engaged in exciting battles with Zhang, Karhan, and Mikeš for fourth place, capturing the audience's attention. He remained competitive until a left rear tire failure forced him to pit for a replacement.
After returning to the track, he finished in ninth place. Despite the challenges, Kostić's performance highlighted his potential as he prepares for the upcoming Italian season.
The final race of the three was very intense for our representative, who again fought for the top positions, even challenging Austrian driver Oskar Vurc for a podium spot at one point. Ahead of him were leader Kuckov, the eventual winner Ischer, and Vurc, while Kostić had previously passed Mikeš. In the last third of the race, it seemed like a battle for the lead was on the horizon, but unexpectedly, his tires gave out, completely disrupting Kostić's rhythm. His laps slowed by as much as four seconds compared to the leaders, and he ultimately finished the race in ninth place.
Overall, Kostić earned 18 points across all three races and currently holds eighth place in the championship standings. His next racing weekend is set for May 18 and 19 at the prestigious Red Bull Ring in Austria.
