In the first race of the fifth competition weekend of the Italian Formula 4 Championship, 15-year-old Serbian driver from the Van Amersfoort Racing team earned 6 points for finishing seventh among rookies at the "Paul Ricard" circuit in France.
After 30 minutes plus one lap with a damaged front wing right from the first lap, Kostić managed to gain three positions from the start and defended his 16th place until the end of the race.
Among 35 drivers who started in the first race, Kostić maintained a position in the "golden middle."
Considering only the rookie standings, Kostić secured seventh place and thus earned 6 points in that category.
The fastest rookie in the first race at "Paul Ricard" was American Aleks Powell from the Prema Racing team, followed by his teammate, British-Japanese Kim Nakamura, and German Maxim Rem from the US Racing team.
